Werner Haslehner is Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance, holder of the ATOZ Chair for International and European Taxation and director of the LL.M Programme in European and International Tax Law at the University of Luxembourg. He obtained master degrees in law as well as in business and economics in Austria and the UK, earned his doctorate in 2009 after three years as a researcher at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, and was subsequently appointed assistant professor at the Institute for Fiscal Law, Tax Law and Tax Policy at the same university. In 2010, he joined the Law Department of the London School of Economics as a post-doctoral fellow, before coming to Luxembourg as Associate Professor in 2013. He was appointed Full Professor in 2015. His research focuses on all aspects of international taxation, including the impact of EU law, and tax policy.
