Miriam Ballhausen is a software, data protection and copyright lawyer with particular experience in advising on complex IT projects, as well as collaborative software development, open source programs and the GDPR.
Miriam particularly focusses on advising on all legal and commercial matters in connection with open source software and she has been involved in developing the open source policies and procedures of both automotive suppliers and OEMs.
Since 2015 Miriam has been leading the OpenChain project’s Compliance Work Team and has been playing a leading role in the project’s automotive working group defining standards for handling open source software in (automotive) supply chains.
In her presentation, Miriam will outline the challenges of compliantly handling open source software in automotive supply chains. A particular focus will be on warranty and liability issues, as well as on potential recourse options.
